ISO 31000:2018 Risk Management

Introduction

An organization in any field needs to be able to manage risk effectively. ISO 31000:2009 puts in place a risk-management system to do just that. It was created in 2009 as an attempt to create a universally recognized program to reduce risk, eliminating the need for the many standards in other industries that include risk. The standard allows a company to better identify threats before they occur, and effectively allocate and use resources for risk treatment.

ISO 31000:2018 Risk Management

It is well known that risk is an essential part of doing business, so the process of identifying and mitigating risks is a challenge for any company. In order to maintain the relevance of ISO 31000 to the changing environment, the Technical Committee established a review. This new version is available from mid-February 2018.

There are some questions that concern stakeholders, the most important of which is “What is the relationship between asset management and the safety management system?”

ISO 31000 helps organizations develop a risk management strategy by oriented towards operationally identifying risks and mitigating risks, thus increasing the likelihood of achieving enterprise goals while increasing asset protection.

Its overall goal is to develop the culture and thought of risk management by increasing the awareness of employees and all employees of the organization of the importance of “risk management” and its benefits as well.

ISO 31000: 2018 Certificate of Risk Management is distinguished in its latest version of 2018, in simple and understandable language and clear criteria to make it easier for institutions and their employees to implement.
